DIANA MARY WINNARD

Born Bradford in 1946, attended St Joseph's R C School In Grafton Street and later St Blaise School. Excelled at sport, and she took part in  Bradford's schools' track and field events at Park Avenue School Sports day. Di was picked whilst still at school to represent Bradford at the Outward Bound course in Devon. She played netball for Bradford Schools and later Yorkshire.

Leaving school aged 15 Diana worked for Collins and Cawthron offices in Bradford. We married in 1966 and settled in Bingley. Di was a well-respected school secretary for some years at St Joseph's R C School in Bingley and also worked for some time at The Yorkshire Clinic in Bingley. She took part in the local film 'Billy Liar' in 1962, and also the film 'Yanks'  in 1978.

She was also a very good friend of entertainer Marti Caine.

Di passed away in August 1998. RIP. Sadly missed by Derek, Angelique, Alex, and her family and her many friends.
